Dear Chris and our UK supporters.

We hope this letter finds you well. On behalf of Edgel Mission, We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your continued generous support towards our ministry to the needy children. Your kind donation continues to make significant impact on the lives of those we serve, and we are truly grateful for your support.

In this update, we will showcase the significant progress we've made throughout September and October. In early September, our dedicated staff conducted a comprehensive needs assessment. Based on the findings in their report, we made the critical decision to prioritize clothing for each individual child. Some children required replacement school uniforms, while others were in need of home clothes. Thanks to your generous support, we were able to procure these essential clothing items tailored to each child's specific needs. Additionally, we swiftly acquired new shoes for those in urgent need.

Throughout September, we also addressed crucial health matters. One notable case was Carlos Odhiambo, a deaf child who had been enduring persistent throat pain. Initially, the doctor prescribed antibiotics, which unfortunately proved ineffective. Eventually, a minor surgery was performed to remove his Uvula, and Carlos has since made a full recovery. Cynthia Riana was diagnosed with Legg-Calve-Perthes disease, and although we initially considered surgery, the doctor recommended a more conservative approach, with regular clinic visits, allowing her to grow before considering the surgery in the future. Numerous other children received treatment for minor ailments and are now in excellent health. Your support has enabled us to provide these children with the necessary medical care and cover all associated expenses.

We are also delighted to inform you that in October, we initiated renovation work. This included repairing damaged walls and repainting the classrooms. We are delighted to inform you that we have successfully completed the renovation of the classrooms. Furthermore, starting in September, we observed a significant increase in the cost of water from the service provider. Consequently, we decided to install new water harvesting gutters and repair the existing ones to address this issue effectively.

Last, but certainly not least, in the final week of October, we had the privilege of celebrating the graduation of 17 remarkable children. These young learners have not only successfully completed their pre-primary education but are now poised to embark on their journey to primary school, starting in 2024.

It is essential to emphasize that these are children who, at the outset, faced the hardships of abandonment and seemed to have little hope of ever receiving an education. Despite the challenging circumstances, we are overwhelmed with gratitude that, thanks to your unwavering support, these children have not only caught up but have also met the criteria to begin their primary education. Your generosity has paved the way for brighter futures and endless possibilities for these children. Beyond these new developments, our daily feeding and educational programs have continued as usual.

None of these achievements would have been possible without your unwavering support. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to you for making all of this possible. To keep you visually updated on the impact of your contribution we have attached a few pictures that captured the moment as outlined above so you can see the direct effect of your generosity.

Once again, thank you for your invaluable support. Your kindness is a reminder that when we come together for the course of humanity, we can make a real difference in the lives of those in need. May you all be richly blessed.
