We hope this message finds you well. We are doing well ourselves. As the rains gradually ease up, the floods are subsiding. We are grateful that we are not severely impacted. Thank you for your prayers.

We are delighted to share with you an update on our recent activities during the month of April. April marks the first school break of the year, providing children with a pause from their regular academic routines and an opportunity to engage in extracurricular activities.

During this time, we organized a Vacation Bible School (VBS) for the children, centered on the theme "God Who Saves His People," inspired by the book of Exodus. The sessions included engaging bible studies, screenings of biblical films, trivia games, and various competitions.

It was truly a valuable experience to have the children with us. As you may know, our daily feeding program serves as a significant motivation for them. Thanks to your invaluable support, the children receive at least two nutritious meals each day. Additionally, we supplemented the feeding program with health and sanitation initiatives, including providing the children with decent hairdressing.

During this period, we also assessed the children's need for school uniforms. Unlike previous assessments where only 20 or fewer children required uniform replacements, this time we observed that the majority are in need. Many of them have outgrown their current uniforms, and they are also too worn out, rendering them unsuitable for passing on to younger children. Based on our assessment, 67 children require new uniform. (Please note the children with sponsors are well catered for and therefore excluded from those in need).

The approximate cost of a pair of school uniforms, excluding shoes, is £14. We humbly appeal to your help to support us in providing uniforms for one, two, or even three children, as you feel led.
