Background Info

Vanvicks Meto is the second born child in the family of five. He was born in the year 2013. He has one brother and two sisters. The brother is called Isaac Deya and the sisters are Cynthia Joy, Sheryl Achieng and Shanice Ondiso. Vanvicks is staying with a single parent; his father. The father is called Titus Odhiambo. His mother’s name is called Everline Maloba.

The two got married in the year 2009. Titus was the breadwinner in the family. Eveline was on the other hand a housewife. They have been living in Rhonda slums.

Eveline started becoming stubborn after giving birth to her third child, Sheryl Achieng. She got involved in a group of women who had left their husbands. She started disrespecting her husband and even neglected her house chores. Her husband was becoming sick and tired of her conduct but did not chase her away.

With increased incites from the company she keeps, Eveline decided to go away. She abandoned both her husband and children in 2019. No one knows where she went at that time. Titus had to become both the father and mother to his five children. At the time of her departure, her youngest daughter, Shanice Ondiso, was eight months old.

Titus was overwhelmed with the amount of work he had as a father of five children. He sent for his sister from the village in Kisumu. The sister was to assist in cleaning and taking care of her eight-month-old Shanice. The sister offered a helping hand for a while. She later got a sponsorship from distant relatives to go back to school and learn to tailor. She had to live since this was a golden opportunity for her.

Titus had to go back into multi-tasking, being both the father and mother of the house. With his little wages from his casual work, Titus struggles to bring up his children and cater to their education. He depends on well-wishers for food and clothing.

We spotted this family in 2019 and saw their dire situation. We recommend Vanvicks Meto to become one of our beneficiaries.

Vanwicks needs a sponsor.
